On 19 and 20 July 2021 the University of Cadiz hosted the international congress titled “Gender and Law in Practice and Education”. The congress, held in virtual format, was the second multiplier event of the LAWGEM project. An important part of the conference was focussed on the presentation of the curriculum for the Law and Gender master`s study programme (intellectual output 1, IO1). The following mandatory courses were presented: Gender Aspects of Labour and Social Security Law by Prof. Dr. Ljubinka Kovačević and Prof. Dr. Isabel Ribes; Private Law and Gender Equality by Prof. Dr. Letizia Coppo; Feminist Economics/Gender Economics by Prof. Dr. Manuela Ortega and Prof. Dr. Lydia Bares; Gender Equality and Business Law and Gender Equitable Taxation, by Dr. Mareike Frohlich and Prof. Dr. Teresa Ponton. All presenters explained the syllabi and elaborated the gender dimension in the mentioned courses/fields of legal education and the differences between this approach and traditional teaching.
