University of Belgrade Faculty of Law organized from 30 June – 1 July 2022 as the LAWGEM Multiplier Event No.4 conference entitled “Feminist Legacy in Legal Theory and Practice”. The conference was focused on the topics of the Textbook Dragica Vujadinović, Mareike Fröhlich, Thomas Giegerich (eds), “Gender-competent legal education” (Springer Nature, Cham, 2022), which has been one of the main intellectual outputs of the LAWGEM project. The round tables however encompassed the wider context related to the most actual gender issues and with the participation of the prestigious key note speakers.
Round Table III was entitled “Feminist Perspective on Gender – A General Context”. Moderator of this Round Table was Prof. Dr. Dragica Vujadinović, while Dr. Marion Röwekamp held keynote speech entitled “Feminist Legal History”. Doc. Dr. Nina Kršljanin spoke about “Gender Perspective in Comparative Legal History”, while Prof. Dr. Antonio Álvarez del Cuvillo examined the issue of “Feminist Political and Legal Theories”. Prof. Dr. Fabio Macioce, Dr. Zara Saeidzadeh and Assist. Valerija Dabetić spoke about “Sociology of Law and Gender Equality”; also Dr. Zara Saeidzadeh presented “Feminist Methodologies and Gender Research”. This Round Table included one more keynote speech held by Prof. Dr. Adrien K. Wing. Her lecture was entitled “Critical Race Feminism Theory in the 21st Century”.
