With the support of UN Women, University of Belgrade Faculty of Law organized bilingual conference “Gender (In)Equality of Persons with Disability”. An important part of the conference that was held on 20 September 2021 was keynote presentation on communication with people with disabilities. Presentation was delivered by Filip Mirić, research associate at the University of Niš Faculty of Law.
Filip Mirić holds PhD in the field of criminal law. He published over 100 scientific articles in scientific professional journals, including articles related to protection of the rights of persons with disabilities. He is the co-author of three monographs. He advocates the persons with disabilities for the realization of the principle of independent living and decision making on all issues of importance for their life and work. He is a member of the City Association of Children with Cerebral Palsy in Niš, the Center for Independent Living of Persons with Disabilities in Niš, an advisor to the president of the Association of Lawyers “AEPA” and a lecturer in this Association. He is employed at the Faculty of Law University of Niš, works at Doctoral Studies Services, and holds the scientific title of Research Associate in legal studies
